Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Smooth unique vocals heavily influenced by R&B and Soul. But I'm extremely flexible in regards to sound. Tell me what youre looking for and ill give it a shot.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Projects that i've worked on have usually been The Weekend-esque, or OVO sounding.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Smooth and rugged.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love the free flowing creativity that i witness on every project. No one project is exactly the same, and every single one is experience waiting to be gained.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I dedicate my full attention and priority to every project i am given. I strictly set my own deadlines and uphold to the clients demands. We work together and Make a hit together.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. Having a decent amount of knowledge in both areas allows you to be flexible.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: People usually contact me if they need singing for their choruses or a verse. I usually write my own lyrics, but I am flexible with working with the artist. I offer session singing, ghost writing, and production services.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Trey Songz, Omarion, Musiq Soulchild, Jamiroquai, The Weeknd, and Charlie Puth.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My in house audio engineer and producer uses a combo of virtual programs and mostly analog equipment. It's top tier stuff.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Collaboration is important. Always make sure to set aside your pride and be willing to approach materal from both a subject and objective point of view. The best work flourishes this way.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Any project i come across, whether it be personal or for a client, i get to work right away. All i need is the instrumental, a simple notebook, and nicely packed hookah bowl to get my creativity flowing. On some days, maybe a gin and tonic.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Open-minded approach to singing, writing, and production. Willing to take the time and pay close attention to the clients needs.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with Eric Bellinger. Because of his creative prowess and ability to always create that catchy hook or chorus that will have listeners destroying the replay button, as well as, his notable contributions to the likes of Chris Brown, Trey Songz, and more.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: After graduating High School, I continued focusing on singing and writing which then lead me to singing Broadway in Community College. Since entering my University, I quickly got to work recruiting fellow like-minded musicians, producers, and engineers and currently service several local artists in my area. In total, i've been dabbling in music for about 7+ years. Professionally, 4 years.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Just be open minded and have the confidence to take that first step. You're always one song away from potentially making history.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What do you envision your listeners doing while listening to your music? Late night drives, enjoying a hookah session at a lounge, or sipping Henny? Whatever it is, that's the vibe we're going to shoot for.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That music is all party life. Although we do preform, occasionally hit back stage with our clients and pop some bottles, we do enjoy the quiet life like walking your french bulldog, or taking a stroll to get some coffee with your girl.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Why haven't you been signed yet? I honestly took more of a behind the scenes approach to music for many years so I could finish my BA in Mass Communications with a Minor in Social Media Marketing. I'm about to graduating by the end of 2019, so you can expect to see more of me in the days to come.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: My own personal EP thats a blend of Experimental R&B, and my BA in Mass Communication with a minor in Social Media Marketing. I've also somehow ended up buying a camera and have begun learning how to Film and Edit in Adobe Premiere Pro.
