I’ve mixed for artists such as Mike Posner, Dave Matthews Band, Adam Melchor, and Guy Sebastian.
You already have all the pieces to make your record great. I'm here to snap them into exactly the right places. As a mixer with a wide range of genres under my belt, I come at the process with an emphasis on feel and aesthetics; the very things that every layman music fan with a heartbeat will tune into. I want to make your record come together in precisely the way you imagined, no matter where it's being played back. We're in this together and I won't be satisfied until you are!

Interview with Billy Centenaro
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will understand your particular aesthetic goal for the record and deliver that by any means necessary, whether that means adding the last 5% or 95%.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That a great mix can save a poor production
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I earned a degree in Music Production and Engineering at Berklee College of Music while simultaneously working at various Boston studios. I then became a staff engineer at The Village Studios here in LA where I worked for about 5 years until I went independent.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: The quality of the arrangement sets the ceiling for the quality of the mix.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I love and understand a broad range of music. I'm not here to make you sound like my favorite artists, I'm here to make you one of my favorite artists!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Focus, feel, emotion
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I finish records.
