I have been recording in my own studio and various others for many years. I work closely with all types of musicians to give them the most stress free time when employing me, whether it is recording a variety of different instruments, or just one guitar take. I aim to play for the song, so whatever serves the song best wins is my view.
I enjoy the challenge of recording no matter what work comes my way. Whether it's composition of parts or playing simple parts with feel. I have a deep understanding of what the artist or producer requires and I will try to be as flexible as I can be with the client; whether this is for a recording artist, a band or composers for Film or TV Music.

Interview with Joel Mason
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Mainly guitar, whether it be electric, acoustic or bass, live or in the studio. I can record live and also have the ability depending on the client to film and edit video with audio included. Payment for audio with a video will increase as I will have another colleague on hand during the filming. Please feel free to e-mail to ask about this further. I am also able to record drums or program them depending on what is needed. I will never say yes to something that I don't think I can be 100% on. I feel this stops any time wasted for me and the client and keeps my focus on what I do best so I can give the client the best.
