My drums are on several singles, EPs, albums and DVDs.
I can provide multitrack drums recorded for jingles, songs, and entire albums. My background ranges from jazz to pop, country to rock. I'm especially good at that jazz-pop style typical of groups like Steely Dan, Fourplay & Yellowjackets, hence anything pop goes.

Interview with Gianpaolo Gallian
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Last Lineaquattro project, "Master Graduation (EP)" was done in occasion of my, you got it, Master Graduation in Jazz Musical Disciplines. It was a ball. My role was as usually the drummer, but this time I was also the composer of it all.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm working at the release of my band's new album, "Magenta". It will be a blast, God willing.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started drumming at the age of 9. I soon began studying Percussion Instruments at the Conservatory of Music in Rovigo (IT), which I attended for 8 years. After that, I switched to private drum studies, attending several seminars and drum events across the country. I then came back to academical studies, earning my Master Degree in Jazz Musical Disciplines in 2021. As a drummer, I has played in many different musical situations, from Top 40 to contemporary jazz-fusion to contemporary pop-rock, touring around Italy and Europe, while recording as a session player for some studios, and teaching privately. I authored the works "Drumset in Mathematics - An Invaluable Companion in Studies", "Drumset in Mathematics - The Applications", "Time Awareness - Vol. 1 | Go-Everywhere Exercises to Improve Your Sense of Time" & "Gary Chaffee's "Hand-Foot Patterns" - Systems for Practice", all available on Scribd and The Internet Archive, or through my personal website. In addition to other publications, I am the editor of my personal YouTube channel, on which I regularly upload music of my own composition, linked to my own projects, or of other artists in the form of covers. I am co-runner of my own musical project, "Lineaquattro", with which I has released one album, "Lineaquattro", and one EP, "Master Graduation", all available on Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Jazz-Pop, or Fusion.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Timing, no doubt.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Groove.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I work in a home studio environment with e-drums. I use programs such as EZdrummer 2 and Superior Drummer 3 along with Logic Pro X to provide the best possibile sound quality at the final mix. I can provide from 7 to 16 tracks per project, with a very versatile choice of sounds and articulations. I usually do two to three takes to get the good, definitive one, and I can provide all of them to the customer.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I use Apple Logic Pro X as my main DAW, powered by programs such as EZdrummer 2 and Superior Drummer 3. Two good YAMAHA HS5 monitors for reference, and a pair of Beyerdynamic DT-100 for the monitoring.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: All the great session players from L.A., N.Y. and Nashville.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I usually record live or programmed drums in my studio, in high quality, very precise timing and good flow.
