Derrick Holmes is an expert sound engineer with over 20 years of experience mixing live concerts for some of the best recording artists such as Big Sean, Mary-Mary, Kirk Franklin, Doug E Fresh, Ruben Studdard, Pastor Charles Jenkins, and John P. Kee, just to name a few.
Derrick’s mixing style is dynamic and musical. Over the years he has developed a unique approach to mixing which stems from years of mixing live music across many diverse genres including Jazz, R&B, Blues, Rock, Pop, and Alternative. Derrick (also known as DOC Holmes) has always had a passion for music growing up in Detroit where he started his career mixing music at a young age for his father’s Gospel band.
For the last five years Derrick Holmes has been working as a freelance professional Studio Mix Engineer. All the years of mixing live music has help him develop a unique sound and taught him the importance of working efficiently and capturing the vibe of a song which has landed him a couple number one nation billboard hits.
