Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been musician all my life.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: EDM and Metal, I am a crossover guy!
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Listening!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I make it sound great and unique!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I start to import the project files into Logic, clean up the edit, tune the vocals, quantize and replace/add drum samples where necessary. In a typical band production (for example) - I will start with the drums - they are the grounding of the song. The drums need to sound awesome before anything else. Then I mix in the bass, followed by guitars. I will then work on the vocals as the most important part. EDM works quite similar, it always depends!
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I got a Logic X / MacPro environment with an Apogee Symphony converter and a ton of plug-ins. I listen via Focal Twin 6Be Monitors. Got a lot of outboard gear and Neumann TLM mics. I got everything that it takes to nail your mix!
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Of course Chris Lorde Alge! There are a lot more but CLA is the one to name!
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Mixing and Mastering!
