MADSN on SoundBetter

MADSN has been writing and performing for 12 years and recently worked with Grammy Award winning producer, Mack McKinney, to create her debut single.

MADSN is a singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and director. She draws inspiration from fellow pop and alternative artists, BENEE, Jessie Reyez, Taylor Swift, and Donna Missal.

Born in Spokane, WA, MADSN began writing music at the early age of 10. After moving to Seattle to study Communications, MADSN fell in love with the Seattle music scene. She became a radio show host for Rainy Dawg Radio, interviewing local artists including Parisalexa and Campana. Without access to producers or studios, MADSN taught herself how to produce and released two EPs she recorded in her sorority house elevator.

Her involvement in the community gained the attention of artist manager, Pierre Newsome, who she signed with in 2020. A month after opening for MoonDrop as her first live performance, she would go on to play a sold out show at Barboza. Later that year, MADSN participated in the artist collaboration event; Seattle Sessions. There she wrote alongside artists including Travis Thompson and Sol.

After receiving her degree, MADSN began to pursue music as her career. She flew down to LA for her first meeting with Grammy award-winning producer, Mack McKinney. Over the course of two days, MADSN wrote and recorded three songs, one of which that would be later released as her debut studio single, Need Time.
