Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What kind of sound are you looking for?
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Computer, mouse, pair of speakers and a nice custom mechanical keyboard.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been messing with sounds since 2012
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Retro, dreamy and groovy.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Too many to count them. I just really enjoy collaborating.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Practice, practice, practice... And try not to overthink.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: House, deep house, hip-hop, lo-fi beats and dubstep.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Drums. Mixing drums, creating drum samples, groove programming... everything drums.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I usually strive for clarity and fullness in my mixing. But I also love vintage, retro and lo-fi aesthetics as well as blending them into my mix if needed.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I usually make 2-5 different drafts, each with its own purpose and direction. The client usually chosses which direction they prefer and then we work from there.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Currently working in a very simple home setup, but I'm comfortable with it. I use FL Studio for 99% of my work.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Flying Lotus, Floating Points, Ross from Friends... There's too many
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Mostly I mix bands and edit radio shows.
