Hi, I'm Teloupe, a professional recording artist, vocalist, and songwriter with 5M+ total streams and 19k monthly listeners.

I specialize in emotion-driven vocals, toplining, and original songwriting for pop, indie, cinematic, and alternative projects. Whether you need a lead vocal, harmonies, or a fully written song, I deliver polished, expressive performances recorded in a treated home studio.

I've worked with independent artists, producers, and content creators who want human emotion, authenticity, and musical sensitivity, not generic or AI-generated vocals.

Credit is optional. I'm happy to work anonymously or be credited, depending on your project needs.

If you're looking for a vocalist who understands storytelling, tone, and modern production aesthetics, I'd love to collaborate.

Interview with Teloupe

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: One project I’m especially proud of is “Saddle of My Heart”. I wrote the topline and lyrics, performed the lead vocals, and crafted harmonies to bring out the song’s emotional depth. I’m proud of how the track connects with listeners, balancing vulnerability with strength, and how my performance helped the story of the song truly come alive.

  3. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  4. A: I record digitally, primarily because it offers clean, consistent sound and maximum flexibility in editing, comping, and mixing. Digital also allows me to work efficiently with clients worldwide, while still capturing the warmth and emotion of my performance.

  5. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  6. A: I promise to deliver vocals and songwriting with emotion, professionalism, and care. Every track is crafted to match your vision, with clear communication, timely delivery, and a polished, studio-ready sound. Your project will receive my full creative attention, whether you want credit or anonymity.

  7. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  8. A: Customers often ask about delivery, revisions, and whether I provide stems or just the final vocal. I can deliver dry vocals, harmonies, and fully processed stems, with up to 2 revisions included. Many ask if I can make melodies or lyrics. I do offer topline songwriting and full lyrics, or I can focus purely on performing your material. Credit is optional, and I can remain anonymous if you prefer. I specialize in pop, indie, alternative, and cinematic styles, and I can adapt to references you provide to capture the right vibe. Standard delivery is 3–7 days, depending on the project.

  9. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  10. A: To make sure I deliver exactly what you need, I usually ask about the song’s mood and story, the genre or reference tracks you like, the type of vocals needed (lead, harmonies, topline), whether you already have lyrics or a melody, preferred key and tempo, the delivery format, how many revisions you expect, if you want credit or anonymity, and your timeline and intended usage.

  11. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  12. A: Be clear about your vision and references. Share the style, mood, and examples you like, so I can match your intent. And also, don’t be afraid to communicate revisions early,

  13. Q: How would you describe your style?

  14. A: I’d describe my style as emotional, expressive, and modern. It blends pop sensibility with indie and cinematic touches, focusing on melodies that stick and vocals that tell a story. I aim for a polished yet human sound that connects with listeners on an emotional level.

  15. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  16. A: Record vocals in small, controlled sections rather than trying to nail the entire song in one take.

  17. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  18. A: I usually work on pop, indie, and alternative music, with occasional projects in R&B and cinematic styles. I focus on songs that are melodically strong, emotionally driven, and vocally expressive, bringing depth and personality to each track.

  19. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  20. A: My strongest skill is capturing emotion through vocals, making every note feel intentional and connected to the story of the song. I’m also highly skilled at topline songwriting, creating melodies and lyrics that stick while complementing the production. Together, these allow me to deliver songs that are both polished and deeply expressive.

  21. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  22. A: I bring emotion, intention, and storytelling. Beyond just singing the notes, I focus on delivering a vocal that feels human and connected to the song’s message. I’m very detail-oriented with phrasing, dynamics, and tone, and I approach every track with the goal of elevating it into something honest, memorable, and impactful.

  23. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  24. A: I have a studio booth at home, I use an Audio Technica AT2020USB-XP as my microphone, and Adobe Audition for my mixing, and my brain for the lyrics.

  25. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  26. A: I mostly work with producers and artists who need emotionally expressive lead vocals and topline songwriting for pop, indie, and alternative tracks. My work usually involves interpreting a song’s story, shaping melody and phrasing, recording clean lead vocals and harmonies, and delivering polished, studio-ready stems.

  27. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  28. A: This portfolio, I really want to get this train moving.

  29. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  30. A: Not really.

  31. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  32. A: Making music definitely, and also, collaborating with people, sometimes the bond goes outside the work and they become my personal friends.

  33. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  34. A: That it takes too long to make a song.

  35. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  36. A: My phone, my laptop, powerbank, portable wifi, and my earphones and microphone, I know it's more than 5. I'm sorry

  37. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  38. A: I've been singing since I was 6 years old, I'm now way older than that. Music hasn't really escaped me and it's the only thing where I feel like I excel at. After graduation, 10 years ago, I just went full-on with music and hasn't looked back since.

  39. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  40. A: Aside from my idols that I've mentioned above. I'd like to work with Charlie Puth, David Archuleta, Kid Travis, Zara Larsson, artists that take out the emotions in me whenever I hear them, I easily get inspired and they never failed to make me feel things every time I hear their tracks.

  41. Q: What's your typical work process?

  42. A: I usually write the lyrics while I'm making a melody. I don't know how to read musical notes, but I know, feel and hear if the music sounds right or good. It usually takes me 30 minutes to an hour to finish a song, and add another hour to add harmonies and other background vocals, and then another hour to mix the entire thing.

  43. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  44. A: I grew up listening to pop music so I gravitate towards the pop stars of my generation like Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera etc. Production-wise, I really enjoy listening to a Max Martin, Timbaland, Danja or Stargate production the most
