Hello all! I am a versatile and in-demand session and live bassist. After receiving a Bachelor's in Jazz Studies from The University of North Texas and a Masters in Music from The University of Texas at Austin, I have gone on to play with world class musicians in many styles including DJ Sparr, Ben Sollee, Gil Del Bosque, The San Antonio Symphony Orchestra, Pete Rodriguez, Under The Rug, and many others. I am also an adept educator, and I was a Professor of Music at Austin Community College from 2019-2021. Currently, I reside in Washington, DC and play with the United States Air Force Band as the bassist for the Singing Sergeants ensemble. I am endorsed by Genzler Amplification.
Studio-wise, I have the highest level and most reliable gear on the market today, and I am an expert at tooling my tone and approach to fit the song in whatever style. I can tastefully and effortlessly sit in the mix as a pocket player or handle the rigorous demands of even the most complex Jazz Fusion.

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a large stable of basses that can cover any genre - from classic tones with a 1963 Precision or a 1974 Mustang, to rock and punk tones with a Yamaha BBP35 or Alleva Coppolo LG5 to modern R&B with a Modulus Quantum. I either run direct through a Noble preamp or stick an EV RE20 on my 1974 Ampeg B15 and run the signal through a Great River Preamp (1073 Style) into a Neumann MT48 interface into Logic Pro. For Upright I play a Juzek bass from the 50's and for microphones I use some combination of a Nordic Audio Labs NU-24K, Austrian Audio OC818, Austrian Audio CC8 and/or an EV RE20. All tracks are recorded in a treated room through the same equipment listed above.
