Hi! My name is Jose Perez and I'm an audio engineer/producer/musician in the Los Angeles area.

I offer remote drum tracks, mixing, mastering, song production and drum tech services(locally). I've recently graduated from Cal State LA with BM degree focusing on production and mixing. I've had the opportunity to work as assistant engineer for grammy winning engineer Dennis Moody here in Los Angeles. Some of my recent work experience includes sessions with some great musicians. I look forward to working with you!

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a Universal Audio Apollo 8 for my interface and I also have a bunch of their awesome plugins. I have a API lunch box with 2 Great River MP-500NVs, 2 DBX 560A compressors and 2 DBX530eqs that I use for recording onsite or at my home studio. Mic's: 2 Shure KSM141,2sm81,2sm57,1beta52,2KSM32 and an Avantone CR-14
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I'm a big fan of Tchad Blake and Bob Clearmountain.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I have a mobile recording rig and I'll go to people's houses to record their bands. This saves them money because I don't have to pay for the studio and neither do they. I also do a lot of Mixing, Mastering and Podcast production work.
