Trent was very professional, he kept me informed as to how the work was going, the quality of the songs are fantastic, and perfect for my videos. He also beat the due date. I will have more work for him in the future.

I used to supervise student recording sessions at Valencia College when Trent was taking classes and I had the pleasure of working with him on numerous occasions. One thing that stood out about him was that I never had to worry about leaving him to run a session on his own when another session needed my help. In addition to his skills as a musician and singer, he also has a great deal of knowledge as a recording and mixing engineer. He was always the first to arrive and the last to leave, has a keen eye (and ear) for detail, and is very organized in the digital realm. 5/5 Stars.

Trent has a vast knowledge of music, both on the creating and technical sides. He works hard to make the process as smooth as possible. He also keeps you informed every step of the way. He knows it's your dream and your vision and strives to make sure you are happy throughout the process. He has done several projects for me, and I can't recommend him highly enough.

    Interview with Trent Morrison

    1. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

    2. A: How many songs? How many tracks? Do you have any reference tracks?

    3. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

    4. A: Label your tracks and send reference tracks. It makes my job (and the job of anybody you hire) easier because we now know what we are looking at. Reference tracks also give us an idea of how you want your song to sound. Our job is to capture your vision so that you can tell your story as intended.

    5. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

    6. A: I started taking piano lessons when I was 8, was a band kid through middle and high school, picked up the guitar at 14, bass and drums at 16, and began my journey in music production at 17. I went to school for sound production and graduated in 2018 and quickly learned that mixing was my favorite part of the process. From there I began to study the people that mixed some of my favorite albums (Chris Lord Alge, Bob Rock, and Andy Wallace) and learned everything I could from my heroes to adopt it into my own sound.

    7. Q: How would you describe your style?

    8. A: Old school rock n roll with a modern production and mixing style.

    9. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

    10. A: Bon Jovi have always been heroes of mine. I would also love to work with Slash feat. Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators. I would love the opportunity to work with an old-school straight-up rock band, get them in a room, and record music in its purest form.

    11. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

    12. A: Less is more. Be aware of "double parking".

    13. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

    14. A: I specialize in rock music. Finding ways to take songs and make them sound huge. I also have experience in all genres. Rock, Blues, Worship, Country, even Rap/Hip Hop.

    15. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

    16. A: From a production and mixing standpoint, I'm most inspired by Bob Rock, Howard Benson, and Chris Lord Alge. Guitar players are Richie Sambora, Slash, Phil X, and Stevie Ray Vaughn. Bass players are Duff McKagan, Hugh McDonald, and Rachel Bolan.
