I am a music producer and audio engineer based in New York City. I operate out of my own production room at Shelter Island Sound in Manhattan. I combine high end vintage and modern analog gear with state of the art plugins to give your music a big record sound.
About me:
I have been recording music for 15 years. I work with genres from hip hop to rock to jazz to classical and world music. I got my start at Shelter Island Sound in NYC where I got to work with great musicians, producers and engineers. I have since produced tracks that have earned prime time TV, commercial and professional sports placements and engineered releases by lots of great artists and bands. Throughout my career I learned traditional recording techniques and philosophies and merged them with my own. The resulting style is a blend of classic quality and timeless sound.
What I can do for you:
Production: I can produce a track for you from scratch or based on lyrics you have, a melody idea that you have or a reference track.
Mixing: I can mix your track to commercial specs and give you release ready mixes or HD files for mastering. A Cappella, instrumental, TV mix and stems included.
Mastering: I can master your tracks to industry standard levels and provide you with a track that jumps out of the speakers and connects with your listener.
Recording: I can record your vocals or instruments at my production suite in the heart of NYC.

I highly recommend Mike Gevaza for your next studio project! He is an expert...period. I felt comfortable and welcomed in his studio. Great vibes make for great creativity. Mike offers positive and fun feedback during the session. He has a great ear and jumped right on the piano to help me with a note that I was having trouble hearing. Excellent rates, good location, top of the line artistry. Harriett D. Foy
Mike is a true professional and a great guy.
I had a wonderful time working with Mike, would recommend to any artist looking for a more intimate studio experience. Besides the actual tracking and mixing sessions, my favorite moments with Mike were our conversations up on the roof looking out at the NYC skyline, or talking about our favorite bands while making a bodega run for sandwiches. Needless to say Mike is a fantastic engineer and also one of my new best friends in the studio, i will be hitting him up next time I’m in town and need to lay some tracks!
Me and mike have been working together since 2015. I began recording at his personal studio "Continental Recording Studio" in Long Island City. I recorded, produced music in his studio for 4 years. Mike also mixed and mastered multiple projects for me and artist I worked with as well as artist on my Record label. The professionalism and efficiency he brings to the table as an engineer are unparalleled. Its hard to find engineers who can get done what needs to get done in a timely matter and offer competitive rates. Mike's attention to detail and relentless drive to grow are paramount. 1000/10
Mike is a consummate professional. He's always on time and prepared. His studio is so welcoming, clean, and organized. He was very open when I asked for his opinion on the direction of the session and even my mix. He's my go to.
Super professional, responsible, and reliable. This studio is my go-to in NYC! Highly recommend working with Mike!
Mike is a true professional in every sense of the word. From the second you start a project with Mike, he is constantly tweaking and tinkering to make sure you are happy with the product. If you are lucky enough to work with Mike you will have a product full of lush, fiull sounds. Do not hesitate to book Mike if you have the chance to do so!
