Miguel has helped me and my band achieve exactly what we were going for and went above and beyond to get us to where we needed to be sonically. I highly recommend working with Miggz on your project!

Interview with Miguel "Miggz" Angel
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I am an all digital guy, Its just my workflow. If analog works for you then work it!
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I am proud of all my projects especially because I work Close to the artist, I give the sound a direction and the artist tells me what they want so together we achieve a balance.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I normally ask what bands or music influences them, Although I have my own sound I like to see where the band wants to go, this is where I determine if I'm the right fit for them or not.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: some Reese's Pieces will do the trick. There arent any generators
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been a musician for 16 years and been Producing/ Mixing for 8.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Its polished but Gritty I like big Chugs, bass Clank and slamming Snares so be sure to adjust your car speakers accordingly lol
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work with Progressive Metal, Rock and Punk rock bands but I have done everything from Orchestral soundtracks for galleries to pop and Retro wave music.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I have my own sound and am not afraid to do things considered "Out of the norm". I enjoy Bass heavy rock and metal so coming to me means you like heavy bass guitar and a solid low end, I also enjoy sound design so be ready to hear some filters, crazy reverbs and heavy panning.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Typically in Mixing I pour a nice glass of wine and begin by labeling everything and grouping what I need too. Then the fun part begins!
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: If I am not the right guy for it I wont take it. I have a certain sound that goes with a certain style of music especially when doing Rock or Metal. In those cases I can direct you to another producer.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Its peaceful, I can honestly say its my zen space. I love creating and putting things together like building blocks.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Mixing is only 10% of the equation. Get the sound right at the source!
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Having an overall vision for the song and its direction, I can Visualize how I want the band to sound before I even delve into a mix.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Its everything I need with the bare Minimum, Over the years collecting gear I realized the less options I have the better for my work flow so I keep the essentials that I know work.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I derive inspiration from all Producers and styles of music but if i had to name a few I would say Oscar Holter, Louis Russell Bell, Forrester Savell, Hendrick ude and Zack Cervini
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
