I'm a mixing engineer with attention to detail and a fast workflow. I specialize in indie and pop.
My name is David Engquist, and I'm a Swedish mixing engineer and producer.
I sincerely want to help you reach the goal you have with your sound, and hopefully make it better than you expected :)
I've been working with production and mixing since 2014, I've studied audio engineering and arrangement for four years, and I've been running my own studio since the age of 21. Never had an unhappy client. With a background in drumming, I've never found drum recording/production to be an issue. A tight and smooth drum sound hitting you in the right way is a super important foundation for any song (if there are any drums, of course). That combined with clear and wide vocals and instruments work together to create that modern, interesting sound of well-produced and musical records. I try to make every mix loud, punchy and pleasing to the ears, but I never compromise with any rawness or dynamics that the band/artist/producer have given the track originally. At the end of the day, what the song makes you feel is what counts. If you get that right, the listener will want to play the record over and over again.
Enough with the fancy words! Contact me if you like what you hear, and we'll discuss the process of your mix or record production.
