Hi my name is Chris "Protosapien" Stone. I'm a musician, engineer, and producer who will be graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Music Production from Full Sail University on May 9, 2014. I love the craft of music, and I love being part of projects that need sound. My aim is to do the best work I can, while I can, the best way I know how.

I specialize in Hip Hop and EDM music production, but I also specialize in Sound Design (for film and video games), cinematic music compositions such as Horror, Suspense, Action, Ambient, as well as the technical aspects of working in these fields. I offer services ranging from music production & sound design, to mixing and mastering. I can also edit, program, and generally offer any other service that relates to audio or musical notation. The education I have received from Full Sail University has helped me to hone my skills in all things related to music and sound. If you are in need of a service not specifically listed here, please contact me and I'll be happy to discuss your project with you.

Interview with Stonecraft Audio

What type of music do you usually work on?
I usually work with hip hop, electronic, and acoustic music.
What do you bring to a song?
I bring a fresh perspective to the project. Having worked hands-on with music my entire life, and having an abundant music-listening past, I am able to translate certain elements that conform to today's audio listening expectations. Mixing and mastering is all about solving problems. I solve problems that many people didn't even know they had, and in the end, deliver results that exceed expectations.
What's your typical work process?
For engineering, I will listen to the raw track to get a feel for what needs to be done. Then I'll reference some music in the same vein as what I'm working on. I typically work in Ableton Live. Depending on the purpose of the project, I may run some additional monitoring for compatibility and technical requirements.
