Hello! I am Terry Whalen, I am a singer/songwriter, guitarist and performer from Canada; I'll help bring your ideas to life. We'll communicate together through music, and will come up with songs that will say what your are feeling.
Rates:
-$200 for vocal demo
-$400 for lyrics/melodic line + vocal demo
-$500 for lyrics + melodic line + vocal demo
-$50 for additional changes and arrangements
- $80 - $100 to add additional instruments
Dynamics:
DEMO SESSION: Send me your melodic line recorded, chords, lyrics, and overall feeling for the song. I will then send you 1 raw, unedited revision, if you like it, I book studio time, and submit the final track to you.
CREATING TOGETHER: Get in touch with me and introduce yourself. Share your project vision, and we'll discuss what is possible creatively. If you have lyrics, I can create a melodic line; if you have a melody, I can write lyrics, if you have none, I can do both. Giving me insights for your project allows me to fully emerge myself in the creation of something unique. Ultimately, the more you tell me, the better I can help you.

I shared a bit of my son Jamie's story with Terry. I shared a poem that had been written about my Jamie as a kindergarten student for 2 months. along with some photos with Terry. Jamie had a very rare neurological condition that claimed his life 1 month short of his 6th birthday. Terry Whalen took it all and then he wrote lyrics, composed the music and put it all together and I forever will be so very grateful. Terry's talents and gifting has blessed this momma beyond measure and the truth is that "An Angel Once Held Her By the Hand", the title of the song that honors my Jamie.
Other than loving music, I have no musical ability. I recently made contact with Terry and sent some lyrics for him to review. Terry was particularly captivated by 1 set of lyrics that he could relate to. I am delighted to say that Terry developed those lyrics into a song that he has included on his most recent Album "There Ain't Nothing in this World". I live in Ireland and met Terry "face to face" during a recent visit to Canada. He is as much a professional and a gentleman in person as he was in our online collaborations. A real Gent that I hope to work with on future projects.

Not ever haven written music before, I had written a set of lyrics that I needed to put music too. I had no idea, where to even begin, in how to create the music. After sharing the story behind the lyrics, then reading them, Terry offered to help me, in creating music for the song. In less than an hour he developed the chords and helped modify the verses to create the song “What Would You Say’.
