Filip Marchidan

Music Producer and Mastering

Filip Marchidan on SoundBetter

If I could name the main reason why I make and produce music is passion. I’m always open and eager to learn about new genres but my main domain is EDM and I usually produce in the Slap House, Big Room, and House genre. If you want to put passion and release a qualitative and unique song then let’s work together.

I’ve always liked music and the vibe and energy that it transmits to people, and I thought that it’s my time to leave my fingerprint in the world with the music I make. I have a background in Computer Science but this never stopped me from learning music meanwhile. I also use mathematical precision to create harmonic sounds.

If you include my name in your song's title then I'll reduce the price at half.

What we can do together:
- Full production of a song
- Full production of a song and write lyrics
- Remix of a song (price can vary depending on the length/complexity)
- Mastering of a song
- Create unique sounds just for you
- Write lyrics for your song

Interview with Filip Marchidan

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I'm very proud about the project I've done "Romanian Battalions" because I revived an old folkloric song with the EDM touch of todays

  3. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  4. A: digital because you can achieve a far greater variety of sounds with that

  5. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  6. A: That everything I do is thorough and that I really put in the work

  7. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  8. A: That it's fun and I enjoy bringing happiness to other people

  9. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  10. A: That producing is something superficial

  11. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  12. A: What vibe are they going for and what genre

  13. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  14. A: Probably speakers, a piano, laptop (where you could use your studio), mixer, and drums

  15. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  16. A: I've been doing this for almost 2 years now and I'm also a programmer

  17. Q: How would you describe your style?

  18. A: I would describe my style as a groovy, emotional but in the same time fierce and confident. These are the emotions I usually aim more

  19. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  20. A: I would probably like to work with Alok or Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike because they get the attention of the crowd live and they also produce meaningful and unique songs which inspire me.

  21. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  22. A: If you have an idea just start writing it and putting it down. Test it and never assume it's not worth it. Start by writing the melody. It might not sound good at first but after you add more elements or adjust it, it might sound wonderful.

  23. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  24. A: I usually work on EDM, but to be more specific I work on Slap House, Big Room and House. I like to work with songs that have power and bass usually.

  25. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  26. A: My strongest skill it's that I'm a perfectionist and I like to make sure every frequency sounds as it should

  27. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  28. A: I like to bring a unique touch to every single song I do and for each song to tell its own story.

  29. Q: What's your typical work process?

  30. A: I usually like to talk with the client and understand the vibe he wants and also to make sure that we're on the same page before I get started. After I usually start with writing the core of the song which is the melody.

  31. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  32. A: My studio setup is not the most complex but it has everything I need to bring quality and uniqueness. I work with FL Studio 20, and I have 2 Yamaha HS7 monitors and 2 Classic KRK 5 so I can test the song on multiple devices. I use a Scarlett 2i2 interface so I can get a balanced sound.

  33. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  34. A: Since I work with the EDM music I'm inspired by a multitude of artists in this genre. Every artist brings a unique touch to his work, but I was most inspired by Alok, Tiesto, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike because they can change their vibe with every song and that is something I also aim for

  35. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  36. A: I'm usually very thorough and meticulous about every song I do. I'm a perfectionist and I value every honest input and I always try to bring the best to my clients.
