Interview with Mac Sauce Beats
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I have been working on a bunch of projects with Master P, as well as Romeo from No Limit Records! I produced songs for an upcoming TV Show and a movie thats coming soon!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Everything I can get my hands on!
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Not that I'm aware of at this moment!
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both! Technology has came a long way and now you don't "need" analog gear to get a professional sound from your setup! But analog gear usually comes with more power and control!
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I am all about customer service! I want to make sure you are happy with your music!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I absolutely LOVE all music! And I get to meet some really cool people!
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How long does it take for me to get a mix done? I usually tell them depending on the number of stems it usually takes me an hour or so, but with my schedule being so tied up I give a 3 day maximum window on all mixes!
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Clients expecting to get an awesome sound with bad quality stems
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Do you have a deadline? Is there anything specific that you would like in your song? Preferences?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: The cleaner the stems are, the better the mix will be. Even the best photo editor can't make a flip phone look like 4k...
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Neumann u87, Apollo Interface, Avalon, TubeTech, Kaotica Eyeball
