Indie folk music is about intimacy, emotion, warmth, and vibe. I prioritize those characteristics in my services. I am an artist myself, so I very much understand what it's like looking for someone to take care of your song. My entirely self-produced and mixed musical project, Vintz Desert, has garnered over 500,000 streams across all platforms.

Vintz is an excellent artist/musician and was totally clear in his vision for the song that I mixed! We went back and forth a few times as I tried to get closer to the sound he was looking for and he was always helpful and understanding of my role as an audio engineer in his notes. Would highly recommend working with him!!
Interview with Vintz Desert
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I produced and mixed my upcoming EP "Everyone's Favorite Letdown". This project was both very challenging and also very expressive and it taught me a lot about what I like my workflow to look like. I got to work with award winning Mastering engineer Alexandr Vatagin on this one.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: All types of things!
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Trevor Willmott is a master at literally any and everything Indie-Folk.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: It doesn't matter. People have made multi-million masterpiece's using basic DAW plugins all ITB. Do whatever is most accessible to you. For me, Analog recording, Digital Mixing, Analog Mastering.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Reach out to the person you want to work with and ask questions/convey your image before making an arrangement with them. Some people get annoyed with people asking questions, but its not about them when you're paying money to capture your vision.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Been doing this professionally for about 3 1/2 years.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Luca Fogale. He is a huge inspiration and is a master of drawing people's emotions out.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Pick one DAW and stick with it. People say things like "This DAW is better" or "This DAW sounds better than the other". Reality is they all sound the same. What it comes down to is work flow. Find one that works for you and master it regardless of which one it is.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Acoustic, Indie folk, Folk, singer-songwriter, and occasionally Americana.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring attention to detail, warmth, and emotion in the songs I work on. Too many times I hear a beautiful song get overly compressed and turned into a something that it's not.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I'm a huge fan of Lowswimmer and Novo Amor. Every song of theirs is its own beautiful and emotive landscape.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I typically mix for artists. I also do
