What can I say about Paul. As a Performing Musician or a Studio Player he is the easiest to work with and always brings his best game. No matter what project I had Paul work on he always delivered exactly what I needed and was a blast to work with! So as a Grammy and Emmy Award winning music producer I Highly recommend Mr Hagy! - Joe
Paul is a phenomenal player. Trust in Paul to come up with concise, memorable and familiar parts for your music. Whatever the style is Paul has you covered. It is hard to find a well vetted, gigged and studio friendly guitarist but in Paul Hagy you have exactly that. Can't recommend him enough!
Coming off of the show, American Idol, Paul was very instrumental in getting my debut record out. The creative genius he brought to each of my songs was phenomenal. He knew exactly what I was going for and delivered it with style, class, expertise and professionalism. It was a privelage to work with him, and I recommend him to anyone. He has a great attitude, and is an incredible guy all around!
Paul and I have worked together both on the road and in the studio. He is a gifted musician and a great guy. Great sounds and tone, as well as super easy to work with - very highly recommended! -scottk
Paul was very essential when I recorded my debut album, titled, "Soon". Not only did he do all of the guitar tracks for me (except one), he has recorded other tracks for me on other projects I've produced. I highly recommend him. He's very professional, and I love his work!
I've worked with Paul on two album projects and the process and results has been a dream. Paul is very conscientious and detailed in his sounds and adhering the to spirit of the song. I can't say enough about the professionalism Paul demonstrates as well as his musical abilities. Highly recommended from me. - Bruce
Interview with Paul Hagy - Studio431
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I like aspects of both. I still use some hardware outboard gear because I think it just sounds better than the plug-ins that are trying to reproduce it.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I typically get asked to do all the guitar parts in order make a clients recording sound like a record! From stacking and layering acoustics and electric guitars, to all the little ear candy parts and sounds you might not recognize as a "guitar" but you would miss if they were removed. I love the process and I love hearing it all evolve!
