Hi, I’m Chris!
I’m a multi-instrumentalist and producer based in the Fraser Valley, BC.
With over a decade of experience in producing records I have worked with artists and producers such as: Emile Bilodeau, Fred Fresh, Bill Szawlowski (April Wine), Mike Shinoda (Linkin Park) and Randay.
I truly love music and to me producing is as much about being an artist as it is about being a producer. As an artist myself with experience playing in projects from alternative to pop I understand the importance of getting your song sonically right. I promise I will work closely with you to deliver the sound and the story that your song deserves. I will pour my heart and soul into your project until we both can be proud of the outcome.

Interview with Chris Kelly
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Read and learn everything you can but don't just take peoples word for it. Listen , use your ear and if it sounds good to you then its right, even if it breaks the "rules"
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I think the strongest skill you can have as a producer is just be able to help guide the artist create they're exact vision of the music they hear in they're heads.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Growing up in the 90's one of my biggest influences was grunge ( Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Sound Garden. etc) I was also highly influenced by the early 2000's new metal scene. ( Linkin Park, Korn, Slipknot etc) Tho it took me a while to really start looking into who produced this kinda of music, some of my favorite producers of all time are , Chris Lord-Alge , Bryan David "Butch" Vig , Rick Rubin. And now being more into pop music, I love Max Martin, Ryan Tedder, Jack Antonoff.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am working with a few artists on their upcoming releases and am just about to release my newest self produced EP.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will put my heart into your project to make it the best song for you so we can both be proud of the final outcome.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I generally work on pop, rock and alternative music. I love creating a unique sound for my artists and enjoy working on pieces that blend multiple genres.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio set up has a full sound proof studio and mic booth. In terms of gear I use a Townsend Sphere mic which is extremely versatile as it simulates multiple legendary microphone by using my Universal Audio Apollo plug ins and interface. I work on Pro Tools and use a Roland Gaia synth, Moog Sub 37, Maschine, Fender and Gibson guitars and an upright piano that is tuned yearly.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The most common type of work I do for my clients is full instrumental production. I also offer vocal comping and can record vocals if the artist is local as I have a studio set up.
