Interview with GISELLE
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: It's a secret project ;) You'll see soon!
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: HUSH (music producer). I recommend him because he has produced some of my work and he is amazing! n
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both! Why not? You can get lessons out of each!
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: My promise: We will get your project exactly to your liking. Not even just liking, you will LOVE it!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Working with other artists and growing artists!
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: A lot of people can be insecure when it comes to songwritting. I like to remind my clients that songwritting is about expressing yourself and your feelings and there should be no shame in that!
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That it isn't real work. It IS!
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: How much do you want YOU in this project? Do you want me to write with only MY pov? Would you like to have a 1 on 1 session?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: If you get a good vibe, go for it! I cannot speak for all providers, but for myself, I promise you we can get your song to sound exactly the way you'd like! I am willing to work hard and work with you to provide exactly what you need!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Guitar, Piano, Notebook, Pen and a drumming pad. I would love to bring my recording stuff too, but there's no electricy on a desert island!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been doing this my entire life. Literally!! I am on my path and moving towards exactly where I want to be!
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style contains a unique sound. A unique touch! And you will always hear my heart and soul in my work!
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: MARIAH CAREY!! I know I am a broken record when it comes to her but I truly love her music, writing and production! I have always loved MC since I was a child!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: If you enjoy your own music, you're doing it right <3
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop, R&B, Pop/R&B, singer/songwritter acoustic, country.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I put my heart and soul into everything I do.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I can bring your song to LIFE! I can even add my own touch to it if you'd like but I can also write your song with YOUR favorite artist in mind.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Songwritting has always been really easy for me and I am so thankful for that! I can just sit down and the words come to me! My process has always been this way. Sometimes I'm even driving or in the shower and I have to pull over or hop out the shower to voice memo song ideas!
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work from my tiny home studio for now!
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Mariah Carey, Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys, Whitney Houston, Daniel Caesar. These are just a few!!
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I usually do songwritting sessions. I love to work directly with clients and help them finish their songs and create exactly what they want! I also have done a lot of background vocal work.
