I have over 20 years of experience in music. I studied classical and contemporary piano & voice, and majored in Electronic Production & Sound Design at Berklee College of Music. In the Spring of 2016 I produced beats & hooks for a major label hip hop artist and will be a featured artist on his upcoming EP due to drop in 2017.
I am looking to work with musicians who may need
* support with voice and/or speech performance coaching
* beats & hooks
* a producer
* a unique session vocalist
As an artist and a music producer, I strive to achieve a very specific and unique aesthetic that is based on instinct and intuition as much as it is upon skill and training. I am eager to work with artists who are searching for a truly original sound. I have a dedication and determination to create a lasting musical legacy and I am motivated to help you achieve your highest ideals in music.
Would love to hear from you. Click the contact button above to get in touch.
Interview with Pearl Lyon Studios
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a modest, but well-equipped home studio featuring JBL LSR4328P 8 Inch Powered Studio Monitors, Apogee Duet 2, AKG C414 XLS Microphone, microKORG XL+, Korg Kaoss Pad. I work primarily in Abelton Live 9, but am comfortable in Pro Tools & Logic environments, as well. I also regularly utilize Native Instrument's Komplete plug-ins.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Recently I had the pleasure of working with a major label artist on his solo EP. He has been working in Hip Hop for the past couple of decades and wanted to bring someone in from a different genre to facilitate a new sound. After he heard my solo music he determined that I would take on the roll of composing beats & hooks for him. We spent 12 hours in my home studio and collaborated on four tracks that were an entirely unique take on the genre for both of us. After the project was complete, he asked if I would be willing to allow him to us my original vocals on his album and join him on tour in 2017. I loved the challenge of this project, the spontaneity and openness it necessitated and I couldn't be prouder of our final product.
