Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to do my best to give you a product that you and I are both happy with. That we would be proud to show to fans, friends, family, industry professionals, record executives, etc. I promise to create a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere that you can feel safe as an artist in.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: The most important thing is that you find someone that you click with on a personality level and a musical level. You need to be able to get along with them and feel comfortable with them. Comfortable to share thoughts and ideas and parts of yourself that play into the music and also give and take feedback and criticism in a comfortable way. But you also need to understand each other musically. Your producer should be able to understand what you're going for in your music and help you get there. Help you to make more of your music than you could have on your own.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Relaxed, but work-oriented. I like to have a laid back comfortable atmosphere while working hard and not wasting time
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Generally I work on folk/americana, singer/songwriter, pop-rock, and alternative rock I've also done quite a bit of pop, blues, jazz, classical, and some urban, hip/hop
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is hearing a song and hearing parts and ways to enhance it. Finding ways to improve and enhance the emotion, meaning, and music of the song
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Jack Johnson, John Mayer, The Beach Boys, The Beatles, James Taylor, the Eagles, Kina Grannis, Bon Iver, Coldplay, and Sigur Ros are some of my favorite artists that inspire me Producers Don Was, T Bone Burnett, and Tim Pagnotta are producers that really inspire me with their styles
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Take a song that someone has written and help them to record it professionally, arrange it and create a fully produced track. This often involves me playing instruments and/or creating beats, and sometimes hiring other musicians to play parts
