Hey! I'm Jax. I've been a professional vocalist for over 20 years. My passion is crafting and conveying the emotion and energy of the song through the vocals. Making the hair on the back of your neck stand up, giving you goosebumps and making you feel one with the song, so you never forget that first listen. Let's create something epic together!

I am a recording artist, songwriter, session vocalist and top line writer based in the midwest. I am classically trained in both piano and voice from the age of 8. I studied Musical Theatre at American University and began my recording career shortly after graduating. Since then, I have spent over 15 year in the studio and on the road. From jazz to pop to folk to EDM and experimental, my voice maintains a pure, powerful essence across every genre and style.

I've lived and worked in both LA and NY and toured everywhere in between. My voice has been described as dreamy, ethereal and pure. I love writing toplines, producing BGV & layering harmonies.

I have my own studio and can render you finished work in 48 hours in most cases.

Interview with Jacqueline Caruso

  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: Currently I am finishing up a House track for a producer who likes to work analog only. It's a real throwback vibe and I had so much fun writing the entire vocal part.

  3. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  4. A: I always ask for a reference, because everyone always has one in their head. The sooner you can share that with me, the sooner we get on the same page to really knock it out of the park. I also ask where they want to hear this song played - in a cafe? or a club in Ibiza? or on an Apple commercial. What you have envisioned for the song in your own mind is where our collaboration begins.

  5. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  6. A: The purity of my vocal tone has always leant itself to EDM, Trance and House music. And I LOVE dance music, especially with a powerful female vocal like "Do You Believe in Life After Love" by Cher or anything by Lady Gaga. So while I find dreamy and ethereal to be my sweet spot - I can bring the power and the runs when the song really needs that lift.

  7. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  8. A: My strongest skill is that I am more than a vocalist. I am a classically trained pianist and have been writing songs since I was eight years old. I dream in song. And I will bring all of this to your track. Whether you need to punch up that hook or layer in some harmonies, I have a studio full of keyboards and synthesizers to assist my process and ensure the vocals on your track give those goosebumps we all love!

  9. Q: What's your typical work process?

  10. A: The first thing I always do is make sure the key is right for my voice and the song. I will do a test run in that key and send it back to you for approval before finalizing the session. If your project requires lyrics and melody to be written, that is a passion of mine and will require more collaboration with you, which is what makes music even more magical.
