Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: 2 projects for pop artists, a Christian album, and music for sync libraries.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: 1) What are you trying to do? (Kesha, Beyonce, Drake?) 2) Are you willing to count the cost - energy, time and money - it will take to make this an undeniably great record? 3) Are you flexible? Songs change and you have to be able to work well with other people when they do.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Focus on the song. Make it as good as it can possibly be, and then find a great producer, demo vocalist, and mix engineer who all can take it where it needs to go.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I love "Made Me Believe" (see Audio Samples). Its lyrics are easy, has a beautiful melodic shape, and the chorus really hits home.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Yes!!! Tempo Stokes and Mickey Shiloh - both phenomenal vocalists. And Lukas Rimbach - goes above and beyond on mixes.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: It doesn't matter! Just write a good song.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: A big song.

A: Listening back to a great song.

A: It starts with a melody, and then ideally the song gets fully fleshed out before production even begins. That ensures that the song itself is strong and can stand alone on its own. But that doesn't always happen. Production should enhance a song; a song shouldn't have to rely on its production.

A: Beautiful melodies, a sense for arrangement, and ears. I am melodic at heart but do have a background in Sound.

A: That it's easy.
