Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That producers or mix engineers need to change an idea to make it better. The best producers and engineers help artists realize their ideas to their fullest potential.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Listen to your projects on all types of sound systems, especially at low volumes. Music isn't always heard by your audience in an ideal listening environment.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: As someone who works in both live and studio settings, I bring a well-rounded approach to creating and finishing tracks. I understand how to turn an idea into a finished project that will sound great wherever it is heard.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work in an acoustically treated home studio outfitted with Adam A5X monitors and an Adam Sub8, along with an Avantone mono speaker and Beyerdynamic DT 880 pro headphones. I use Ableton Live and a variety of 3rd party plugins from Izotope, Brainworx, Waves, Oeksound, and more.
