I have worked with Zach on a number of projects, always achieving outstanding results! He is a true professional and, more importantly, a good listener. During our collaborations, Zach would always listen carefully to my ideas and, when necessary, tweak them in a way that was uncanny. I often found my songs expanding in ways that I couldn't have imagined. This is so vital to an artist. We hire a producer to help us achieve pro sonic results while keeping our own unique musical vision. Zach has supreme mixing talent, a wonderful business acumen, and great ears and instincts. Hire Him Now!
Zach has mixed and mastered all of my release for the past 2 years ! He’s very knowledgeable about his work and is in constant communication with you about the project the entire time. Great to work with!
Interview with Zach O'Neill
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That producers or mix engineers need to change an idea to make it better. The best producers and engineers help artists realize their ideas to their fullest potential.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Listen to your projects on all types of sound systems, especially at low volumes. Music isn't always heard by your audience in an ideal listening environment.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: As someone who works in both live and studio settings, I bring a well-rounded approach to creating and finishing tracks. I understand how to turn an idea into a finished project that will sound great wherever it is heard.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work in an acoustically treated home studio outfitted with Adam A5X monitors and an Adam Sub8, along with an Avantone mono speaker and Beyerdynamic DT 880 pro headphones. I use Ableton Live and a variety of 3rd party plugins from Izotope, Brainworx, Waves, Oeksound, and more.
