I love what I do! I've worked with Justine Skye Jason Derulo, Trevor Jackson and WolfTyla. I'm willing to listen and understand what you need in order to make your song the best it can possibly be!
I have worked with some of the music industry’s top producers and songwriters such as Jordy (Carl Thomas) producer Rockwilder (50 Cent), Atozzio (Chris Brown, Mario), The Smith Brothers (Beyonce), Mickey Shiloh (Brittany Spears and Jlo) and Jared Cotter (Jay Sean). Most recently has been writing demos with and for Trevor Jackson, WolfTyla as well as Jason Derulo who's voice is on the record I posted on my profile.
I am also able to write country and rock top lines as well. With some direction and a vision I can make anything happen.

The vibe and energy was amazing. it was a collaborative effort and the song came out great! looking forward to work with him more songs and I would highly recommend him for songwriting, vocal production etc!
A great talent and amazing vocalist! Definitely refer his work, TRUST!
This project is exactly what I expected it to be...nothing short of AMAZING! I've worked with Guy on 3 of my own records and his ability to come up with infectious melodies and catchy hooks, while capturing everything that song requires to make a HIT is effortless. I'm confident he will be bringing r&b back to the game the right way!
I work with Guylaire on a regular basis, and what is said about him in his bio holds very true. He is hands down one of the most talented writers I've ever worked with out of the countess songwriters I've had the pleasure of working with. He simply doesn't miss any shot he takes.
Guylaire is an amazingly talented individual. I met him when he was just starting out and his talent has blossomed into something phenomenal to say the least. I'm proud to say I know him. If you get the chance, definitely work with him!
Interview with Guylaire Leon Jr
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: The most recent project I'm proud of is landing 2 songs with 2 different commercials with L'oreals make up line Maybelline in 2015. I was the vocalist as well as the songwriter on the record.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am working on releasing a project for myself as well as working with different artists and songwriters in the music industry.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Yes i would recommend my friend Jordy Writes because he introduced me to this website and is a great songwriter as well.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Depends on what sound you are looking for. If your looking for a authentic old school raw type of feel then analog. If your looking for a more modern sound then digital is the way.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise that you will always receive nothing but great quality music. Nothing less.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love the fact that I can do what I love which is sing and song write.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Most common questions are how much are my prices and are they negotiable. and the answer is all prices are negotiable as long as the labor required is within the means of the prices established.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: The biggest misconception is that songwriting and singing isn't really a job. Most people don't take the songwriter seriously when it comes to business because of how we are paid and how much we are paid based on the statutory rate and the laws provided by the state.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Some advice I would give a customer is understand this is a business and treat it as such. If you want great quality you have to be willing to pay for it. Understand that this is an investment for yourself. So make sure you get what you paid for.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: I would bring my laptop, headphones, mic, speakers and hard drive.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: My career path was always to become one the best songwriters of all time. I have been doing this for 5 yrs now.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I would describe my style to be RnB based with a heavy pop influence but an overall worldly feel. For example Usher meets Cold Play.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would have loved to work with Michael Jackson because he was the greatest performer of all time.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: One music production tip I would give would be to allow your tracks to breathe some times. Being over musical can be over kill.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I try to work on all types of music. I don't believe in being a box. I will try my best at anything that comes my way.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill would be my melodies. I understand how to create melodies that stick in your head. I also am great with metaphors.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring passion and emotion to a song. I make sure I sing so that the listener believes what it is that I am saying.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My typical process depends on the work that is needed. Usually I start with the melody of the song and build around it. Or, if I have a concept I will build the melody around the concept.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio set up is simple. I work from home and I have a mac laptop with a Blue Mic and a scarlet Focusrite.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Musicians that inspire me are Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, Sting, Usher, Tracy Chapman to name a few.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The most common work I do for people is referencing and writing songs for clients. You write a song, I'll sing it. Or I can write a full song if you want a song with a specific concept behind it. I write full songs, hooks, verses. All prices vary depending on what services are needed.
