I'm Mikey "Vegas" Villegas, an Artist Manger, Producer/MixEngineer/Engineer, currently located in Cleveland, Ohio. My passion is MUSIC!!! I co-founded Area 67 Music in 2006 to help Artists/Bands develop their image & sound while guiding them through some of the potholes that can side track creativity.
I utilized my experience in the industry as a artist, engineer, producer to help artists who are overwhelmed and needing direction, and work with them to create a solid foundation that will prepare them for those moments when opportunity knocks. I feel very strongly about educating up and coming musicians about the in's and out's of the industry and equip them with the knowledge to make the best decisions for their careers as well as protecting themselves from the many scam artists that are out for a quick dollar.
I have had the opportunity to manage a number of talented artists throughout the North East USA, as well as engineer, produce and mix over a 100 records. I served as Label Manager for a small boutique label, Soundmine MusicWorks located in East Stroudsburg, PA for 2years, where I managed a roster of 8 bands. During my time with Soundmine MusicWorks, I stepped into the position of Studio Manager, Staff Engineer/Producer for Soundmine Recording Studios, owned by Dan Malsch (Producer/Mix Engineer).
I recently relocated to Cleveland, Ohio in 2016 and currently work from my home studio. I am open to working with types of music and am available for freelance Engineering, Production, & Mixing opportunities.
