I'm ready to bring the best out of your sonic statement.
I started at 9 years old playing piano. Learned guitar, bass, drums and singing along the way.
I studied sound engineering and worked in three professional studios as a recording or mixing engineer.
I can bring experience, taste and technical refinement without compromising the sonic artistic vision.

Interview with Faydr
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I worked six months on a Pop/Rock album. I was the recording engineer, but they involved me partially in the production while being really open to try different options regarding instruments choice and arrangement of the song. I ended up mixing the album too.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Mixing a lo-fi beats type album.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Hybrid. Because I can have the best of both worlds.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I'm really sensible to music, since it's been part my whole life so when I hit play I instantly feel and connect with the core of a song and I find moments of my life or feelings that relate to what I'm hearing.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That I use magic.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Anything related to the emotions of the project, the meaning of the lyrics, and I always ask about other artists that inspired them.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Take all the time in the world to explain to me the artistic vision, the sonic landscape and the emotions involved with the project.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Started as a musician at 9 years old (my mother was a piano teacher). Took clases and self-learned guitar, bass and drums. Started producing and recording in home. Meanwhile I attended to two institutions to learn sound engineering and production. Ended up working in studios as a recording engineer. Now I have my own mixing environment with an hybrid setup.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Open, clean, dirty, punchy.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Place a 4 inch paper speaker on the snare (or re amp the snare if it was crafted in the box) capture that to get an amazing "snap".
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Indie Rock/Pop, Rock, Acoustic, Urban.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring my experience as a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and mixing engineer. I focus really hard in the sonic statement to make sure that the vision of the artist gets captured in the final mix.
