I have aquired an eclectic music taste both as a producer and engineer, having worked on projects with indie bands such as The Hoosiers, The Stags and also featured and co-produced on a wide variety of music genres with artists such as Louisa Johnson, WavyBoySmith, Afro B, Kojo Funds, Raheem Bakare, Big Tobz, Rays Muzik and Mars Moniz. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: McCool's 4 track release, I had the opportunity to co-produce, mix and record all the tracks which was a challenge because I got taken out of my comfort zone. I had to work in different studios with different setup's
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am currently working on a few Amapiano and Trap projects
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both, Why not if you can have both?
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: There are always a lot of surprises
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: But It doesn't sound like the reference? Yes, the aim was not to make sound exactly like the reference but get it close and somewhat give the track its own character considering the fact that they are completely different tracks in general.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: I get underestimated a lot
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Do you have any references? How do you feel about the song? Where do you hear the song being played?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Be specific and know what you want out of the provider you are hiring
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Laptop, Soundcard, microphone, speakers and a vuvuzela
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I wanted to be a music producer first but ended up in a music engineering college, where i learnt a lot about mixing. After i worked in several studios as an engineer then later opened my own music company where i currently work.

A: Alternative

A: Rosalia.vt her music inspires me a lot and it has a strong cultural significance
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Vocals are an instrument treat them with the same care as everything else.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I normally work on dance music
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I have a very attentive ear to detail
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I understand a lot of culture in music having worked on a lot of diverse genres of music.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Normally when someone sends me a song for mixing i spend a lot of time listening so as to understand what i am to bring to the track after that i will start cleaning up the tracks to get ready for mixing, and i will probably take a break then start the mixing process. The following day thats when i will come back and listen to the track for any changes before sending it to the client.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: It's just above the normal home setup, i have a few outboard gear (1176 compressor, 1073 Pre Amp, Crane song hedd quantum converters and PuigTec MEQ-5)
