Exceptional and Unique are some of the words I can use to discribe Uncle Ticky... Highly Talented genius who works to put out quality projects 🙌🏽💪🏾.
He has a fresh vibrant sound. He’s also very confident about his work and that adds to his skill.
He has fresh sounds especially to the Zambian market. I like his word play in his songwriting. I like he is daring and is not doing what everyone else is doing in Zambia as far as musical production. I highly recommend him!
This guy is putting our country zambia there. If serious was a family, he would definitely be in it. I think I have bragged enough, contact him for the service needed.
I am giving 4 stars cause no one is perfect but you are professional. It is how you make music from anything available that shows artistry
Very renowned professional with an eye for excellence. I highly recommend him for work across the world as a proud client of his.
Interview with Uncle Ticky
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Loop Making, Music Production, Beat Making, Song Arrangement, Lyrical Composition
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: My 2020 mixtape called "Hall Of Me". I went through the worst with regards to working with other people. Someties trust will get you hurt. I did everything myself, from the Artworks to mastering. It wasn't perfect, but to this day people still mistake my mixtape for a professional studio album. Like GUYS!!! I was JUST PLAYING!!!!!!!...LOL!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: A couple of personal EPs (performing artist executive producer, and mixing engineer), producing and featuring on some projects for a few other artists and a few mixing jobs for other people too.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Analog (although all I have is digital). Analog sound is original and nothing can replace its warm, gritty texture
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: The best from me
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I'm comfortable doing what I love despite the highs and lows
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: People think music is easy and makes you rich overnight! I'm not rich yet...LOL
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What direction are you looking for with this record
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Build a relationship with me for a beneficial future
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Diverse. I'm like Thanos with the 6 Infinity Stones.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Bruno Mars or Kendrick Lamar. They are simply musical geniuses!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Less is more
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Mostly Hip Hop/Trap, RnB, and Afrobeats records
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Song composition
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Anything required to make a memorable record.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: For personal records (as the performing artist and producer), I occasionally work with vibe and feeling. I'd probably use my acoustic guitar to write basic chords to have a starting point, or make a beat and build from there.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: The basics needed to create good music. Nothing flashy. My MIDI keyboard, a set of speakers and a strong PC
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Production wise; Sounwave, DJ Dahi, Tyler The Creator, J Cole, The Neptunes, Ron Epidemic, The Stereotypes and The Smeezingtons Artist wise; Kendrick Lamar, J Cole, Bruno Mars, Pharrell Williams, DSmoke, Rema, Tems, Sean Trey, Dru_Zm, Trooy Reinz
