I was very pleased with the work done by Luna Studio. Communication was great and they were very eager and excited to start on my project. They did a great job of making the necessary tweaks and bringing my overall vision to life. They also worked with my budget which I couldn't have been happier with and didn't make me feel bad for sticking to my budget. Will definitely work with them again in the future.
My number one choice! After working with them one time, it was clear that I only want to work with them! I bring them all of my projects and recommend them whenever I can.
Not only are Heather & Dewey the nicest, they are super great at what they do. 10/10.INCREDIBLE recording experience!! Dewey and Heather were extremely professional, personable, and a much needed part of this sensitive and dynamic project. They’ll work with you to get the sound you want and give great knowledgeable feedback along the way.. if you want to get the most out of your creative vision, look no further. Already can’t wait for our next session!!
Dewey and heather at Luna Studio was nothing but LIT, the production quality, the mood, the booth everything about my experience was top tier.
The whole process in Turning my music to life with them was smooth, they also helped a lot and had very good constructive feedbacks that really made my song elevate.
Once mastering was finished, delivery was fast and Efficient, and ready to play/upload on my phone.
Depending on complexity of the song delivery and vary so just be patient and let the masters do what they best at.
Can’t wait for the next session ! Btw I drive all the way from SD!I highly recommend recording at Luna Studios

Interview with Luna Studio LA
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: We did the audio post production on a commercial for the show "Mountain Men" We edited the ADR and worked with the animation studio to complete the foley, SFX, and Music editing. After finishing all of the audio for the commerical, we mixed it down and mastered it for the network. It went on to win three awards at the Promax Awards in 2019, two first places and one third place.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Dan Konopka, That guys is the man! amazing drummer and mixer
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: We promise to work hard to meet your needs We promise to always be very communicative about your project and what stage the project is in We promise to give you a product that you are happy with every time
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: We love sharing the love of creating a piece of art with someone and sharing that moment that can never be recreated
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is the timeline for this project? What is it that you ultimately want to achieve with this piece of art?
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Porter Robinson, The way he writes music is completely refreshing in a time where electronic music can feel redundant
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Try to get out of the mentality of "Am I doing this (eq move, compressor ratio, etc) in the right way" and get into the mentality of trusting your ears and asking yourself " Is this how i want this to sound"
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: We normally work on a variety of styles that range from; Hip Hop, Trap, EDM, Reggaeton, Jazz, Singer - Songwriter, Folk, Acoustic.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Our strongest skill is our ability to think outside the box and trust our ear
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: When working on a project with a client, if we feel the song needs something more to really make it stand out, we will communicate fully with the client to come to a agreement before proceeding. Having a degree in music production and another in audio engineering, We can really make a song reach its full potential in terms of song writing and mixing.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: We normally use our Neumann TLM 103 microphone, for vocals / dialogue recording, which lives in our vocal booth that has a tv monitor inside so the client in the booth can always be involved in where we are in the song during sessions. We have several options for mic preamps from there including: Neve 1073 Mic Pre, Apollo x8p Internal Mic Pre, and a UAD 6176. Outboard EQ options we have are: Neve 1072LBEQ and a SSL Ultra Violet Stereo EQ. For Outboard Compression we carry: Chandler Limited TG Opto Compressor, UAD 6176, and a Shadow Hills Dual Vandergraph Compressor. For AD conversion we use the Apollo x8p daisy chained with a UAD Satellite Octo. In the box we use either Ableton or Protools, depending on the project. We use a wide array of vsts for sound design and a large amount of plugins for mixing and mastering such as; UAD Software, Most Waves Software Bundles, Fab Filter, and many more
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Most clients we have worked with have us record their vocals in our studio, then we comp the vocal tracks and tune them if need be using Autotune or Melodyne. After we have prepped and editing the vocals we then mix and master their vocals with either the two mix provided or do a multi-stem mix if that is provided. We also offer Podcast editing and mastering remotely, but the podcast can be recorded in house as well. For actors and directors we offer a wide variety of service that range from: ADR recording & editing, foley, sound design & SFX, music editing, and the final mixdown and mastering of their video project.
