I wear my heart on my sleeve and my music is proof. I work hard, play hard, and feel hard, and I like to make music about it so that other people can join the experience. I have an extremely diverse catalog and dislike being asked what genre I consider my style. Music is my style. Take a listen and see what you think.
I can write or co write lyrics, and sing main or back up vocals. I wrote and self published a solo album as Errol Bateman, and an ep with my full band The Ebb. I also co wrote an ep and several individual tracks with a project called Cuteface. The Errol Bateman album Colorful Creature made The Auricular 100 Best Albums of the Year list in Richmond, Va in 2018. In 2020 Cuteface entered a song competition run by Hly Crap Records in Black Mountain NC in an effort to benefit Musicians for Overdose Prevention and placed in the top three. I am currently working on another solo album and have tons of unrecorded material so I recently quit my job to focus on music full time. I love writing songs and want to work on as many different types of music as possible. I have released material under genres including but not limited to indie, punk, folk, beach music, country, doo wop, rap, and rock. I have been playing instruments for thirty years. I usually play piano or guitar but grew up with a tenor sax player, and a drummer. I play both of those and bass as well which really influences how I play piano, and guitar.
I'd love to hear about your project. Click the 'Contact' button above to get in touch.
