Hi everyone! Me in one word: Enthusiast! I don't have highlight credits but plenty of satisfied customers. Your music becomes as mine the moment it touches my ears. I mix in the box your voice and music with taste and experience. Just try me and you'll be wanting more! Come in as you are, get out sounding as your favorite artist! Don't hesitate!
I'm a mixing engineer, I work in the box because I like freedom of movement and quick decisions to catch inspiration as soon as it comes! I follow no rules when mixing, although I know all of them. I prefer to trust my ears!
I studied at the Conservatory and than at SAE Institute in Milan and Paris.
Now, since 2010, I have a Voice Recording Studio (OFFLMTS) where I cut great vocals and mix music of all genres, but especially trap, rap and pop songs.
Send me you stems and I'll take care of your creation, I will treat it with respect as if it was my own.
I also do mastering with top plugins!
I do also provide voice tuning and timing. If your recordings are not perfect I can also clean background noises, click and pops in a transparent way!
I speak Italian, English, French and understand Spanish so, I will understand your lyrics and will be able to treat them with awareness.
If you choose to do mixing and mastering with me, your song will be RADIO READY, SPOTIFY READY, etc.
Well, try me once, and you'll be happy!
Tell me about your project and how I can help, through the 'Contact' button above.
Interview with OFFLMTS Recording Studio
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don't follow the rules you learned. Just keep them in the back of your mind and do whatever it feels right to do when producing. Than send you multitrack to a professional mixing engineer and everything we'll be fine. If theres's a problem, the engineer will tell you and you will get the chance to make things better.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop, Trap, Hip Hop, EDM, Soul...
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Voice mixing.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring all I have! And I mean personally as well as technically! That's the main reason I think clients come back to me. They know that I know how to get the best ut f their ideas. It makes me proud of myself.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I like to have a clean and organised Pro Tools session first, with all the stems and tracks in a certain order and color coded. I'm used to open a template that I made, where I have some busses and fx already set up (verbs, delays, saturations, widening tricks and more...) in order to rapidly check ideas while going through the material. I than edit the tracks to strip silences, clean clicks and pops. I than work on the vocals, first comping them, timing them and tuning them. Once this is done I usually make a quick balance of the instrumental, just with faders, than I start adding plugins for dynamics, eq, modulation, saturation and stereo imaging. One it feels good, I open the vocal and there the fun starts! I love mixing the voice! I do every trick in the hat with the voice and modify the instrumental accordingly, back and forth, editing, cutting, filtering and whatever comes into my mind (well, if the client wants me to do so..., of course). And than when I feel like it's done, after having treated the stereo bus also, with saturation, compression and whatnot, I let it rest for some hours or a day or too. And than get back to it for mastering!! I check it with different speakers, stereo, headset, headphones, car and than, it's time to send it to the client for feedback! Well, usually, clients are very happy with the overall result! There's always some detail to check, an effect to dim down, an adlib to cut, maybe a different delay on the end tail. But overall we're all happy and eager to publish the song!!
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I'm all in the box! I use to have analog gear in the past, such as compressors, eqs, vitalizers, analof summing devices etc. But in the last few years I got rid of every piece and invested in all the plugins I now consider the best tools for me to get where I want to go as quickly and effectively as I can. And, let's face it, it's sounds as good if you know what to do...
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I would love to play piano and guitar. Today it's maybe too late. I read music, because I studied it, but piano and guitar are one finger at a time for me :) Well, not really. I can play something but can't improv...
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I usually record vocals, help with artistic directions. Than I comp, clean, time and tune the vocals. Than I mix them and the instrumental multitrack, usually bought by the client from instrumental lease providers. I also mix EDM productions or song recorded elsewhere. I do digital mastering too.
