I am a multi versatile singer and songwriter in various styles such as Pop, House EDM, Hard Rock, and Country. I've written songs for Chris Brown, Pitbull, Boyz II Men, and Maxwell and have charted top 10 on radio Internationally. I own my own recording studio in Los Angeles, CA, and have been writing, recording, and producing for over 20 years.

As a professional singer and songwriter, my services include demo vocals, toplining, lyrics, melodies, adding production, and recording. I have over a 4-octave vocal range and have a pretty powerful full vocal pop chest voice that often gets featured on House/EDM DJ singles releases. I work in Logic Pro X and record on my Sm7b mic and cloud lifter (I also own a Neumann TLM 103) and can topline and record all of my own vocals, including main melodies, lyrics arrangement, and structure and send you back high-quality .wav stems. I am very collaborative and can offer suggestions in tweaking existing lyrics or melodies/rhythms and arrangement. I am very fast so I normally can write and record several songs in one day. I do this full time as a living.

Interview with Daniel Capellaro

Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: You can never have enough vocals. I love recording and this allows the producer I'm sending them to to create sounds and effects with the ones they don't use for the leads.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work on Pop music, but that includes Country, and most recently a very hard rock band I formed which sounds sort of Pantera meets Rage Against The Machine
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I have a 5-octave vocal range and can sing pretty high full chest voice in addition to have a very controlled falsetto. I am great with melodies and harmonies and will give you way more vocals than you'll ever need for a single song for doubles and adlibs.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring over 20 years of experience working with indie and major label artists to write hit records. I love writing big choruses and weaving a creative story into the narrative of the lyrics while making sure the voice is telling the story of the creator.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I like to sit with the track and let it inspire me. The client may have specific ideas on what they're looking for in terms of melody, concept or arrangement but I like to see what it inspires. I love the creative process and the collaboration and creating an amazing song together!
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have an sm7b running through a cloud lifter and into my Scarlett Focusrite interface and into Logic Pro X. I have Yamaha HS8 monitors, sound-treated room and an SE vocal deflector along with two 6-foot Real Traps I enclose myself when recording
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am super inspired by Ryan Tedder and Max Martin who have been able to form lifelong teams in this industry and allow them to work with various artists in different genres
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Most commonly I am sent a track to top line. This includes all the melodies and rhythms and lyrics. Once approved I will add doubles, harmonies, and adlibs. I also will only do lyrics on certain songs, or only write entire hooks/choruses. I love a big chorus!
