Hey, I’m Daniel, a professional vocalist and songwriter/topliner with 10+ years of experience. I specialise in Pop, EDM and R&B, but I’m experienced in other genres and styles as well. I write songs for other artists and have my own project, but my main goal is to help bring your project to life at the highest level. Let's make something special!

I'm a singer, songwriter and performer based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I have over 10 years of experience in the music industry, having worked around Europe and the United States. I was in the Dutch Junior Eurovision Song Contest and have written songs for other artists internationally. What I love the most is to help others bring the musical vision to life. That can mean writing lyrics & melodies, sing on a track or help bring an entire project to life in a broader sense.

Interview with Daniël Dojčinović

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: That I will always give my all to your project!
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What story do you want to tell with your music?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Just send a message about your project and we'll easily find the right way to get started! It's all about collaboration and clear communication.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started out on the Dutch Junior Eurovision stage at age 14. Afterwards I worked around Europe and America, mostly performing and writing for my own project. After graduating college and obtaining my degree in Musicology, I started focusing on writing for other artists and helping their visions come to life. Now I'm combing everything I've done, because I love every style of music too much!
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: If Sam Smith and The Weeknd had a child ;).
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: My favorite music to work on is Pop, in the broadest sense of the word. Anything with a commercial edge to it as I love to interweave hooks with great lyrics.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My sense for hooky melodies.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: My strong sense for melodies and my style of singing. My voice has a very warm and unique tone.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Firstly, I want to dive into the project of the client to get a sense of the sound, type of writing and emotion behind the music. Then, based on the input I have received, I will start to sketch out an idea and build on it till I'm 100% it's ready. Before I record vocals, I always practice the delivery of the singing to make sure I get the placement right. After recording, I wait at least a couple hours/a day to comp the vocals, so I have a fresh ear.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I use a Shure SM7B mic with a Scarlett 2i2 interface. I use Logic Pro X to record my vocals.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I usually write the entire topline (lyrics & melody) over a track. I love making lyrics and melody blend seamlessly so every element in the song works together.
