I am a lifelong electric bass and guitar player, trained by Tiran Porter of the Doobie Bros in modern fretted and fretless bass. I have been playing guitar for 17 years and bass for 15 years, and have played on hundreds of recordings for myself and clients and in over 20 bands. I also offer remote mixing, editing, and mastering in Logic.
I play bass and guitar professionally, having studied advanced jazz improvisation techniques on both instruments and worked on my mastery of both instruments for 17 years. I have played in over 20 bands & ensembles in styles including jazz, latin, classical, rock, funk, reggae, metal, rap, electronic, and pop. I have been doing session work on guitar and bass for 11 years and recorded my first album when I was 13. When I was 14 I began learning from Tiran Porter, the legendary bassist from the Doobie Brothers hit records.
I have a Bachelor's of Music degree in Music Technology from California State University Los Angeles and have spent a long time honing my skills as an audio engineer / producer / editor / mixer as well as a multi-instrumentalist. I spent some time after college working live sound gigs around LA for musicals, bands, and comedians like Adam Sandler. I take pride in making my work sound great!
I am highly experienced in Logic Pro X and do all my recording, editing mixing and mastering in that program. I also utilize a collection of Universal Audio digital guitar/bass amps, preamplifiers, compressors, tape machines, equalizers, etc., that I do almost all of my recording and mixing through to guarantee the best quality sound.
I can also do editing, sound design and mixing for podcasts and advertisements.
