Interview with LVN
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: My most famous release "Hard Zemon" with Jxma Destine. This track is available on every streaming platform and I was the leading producer and Audio Engineer behind the track.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: At the moment I'm working on my diversifying my skillset. I have started to dabble into genres like cinematic music for example.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I make all my music on my computer, so digital. There are endless possibillites, an almost infinite amount of instruments to choose from and the abillity to design your own synths.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: That they will recieve exactly what they're looking for. High qualtiy mixing and mastering and unique sound design. A track that emphasizes their vocal capabillites.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How long it takes for me to produce a track. It's usually one to two weeks
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: A lot of people don't understand how producing music works, many assume it's as easy as pushing a few buttons. It isn't.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: How would you describe yourself as a vocalist? Do you want the track to be more focused on melody or more focused on sound design? Will you rap, sing or a combination of both? Do you want a drop where there are few vocals, or a refrain? Do you have song references to what you want me to produce?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Always have patience. Producing a track takes a lot of hard work and time. For me it usually takes a week to finish a big project but also never undermine your expectations. An experienced producer will listen closely to what you want and make that happen.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My laptop, a midi keyboard and my speakers.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been in the business for 9 years now. I started out pretty young and have discovered my passion for producing by wondering how all of the music I loved has been made. Over the time I've managed to build up quite a big network, working closely together with labels like TrapTownRecords and being represented on every big streaming platform.

A: I'd love to one day work with Metro Boomin.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I love working on Hip Hop Tracks that have their own unique take on the genre.

A: The creativity and freedom that comes with it. I see it as a blessing that I'm able to create something new and unique that people like listening to.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I'd describe it as bass heavy, urban, dark, Powerful, Bouncy, Festival
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: It's important to take a step back every once in a while and look at the bigger picture of a track. This way you can see if everything fits into place like it should.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I'm great at adapting. If my client wants something changed, it's easy for me to make those changes while making sure everything still sounds great in the mix.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Whatever the song needs. I believe that every work of Audio needs its own piece of identity.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I tend to hyperfocus on my work, meaning if I start something, I just work on the track until it's done, without a lot of breaks.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I balance the sound to both fit speaker and headphone output. For that I use my Yamaha HS8 speakers and my Studio headphones to provide the best possible Mix & Master. For vocal recordings I use a Rode NT1A studio microphone. My main software is Ableton Live, one of the leading music production softwares - I use this for all of my services.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Kanye West, Future and Yeat
