Pacifique Dushimiyimana on SoundBetter

Welcome! I'm Paci drummer based in Belgium. I have been a professional musician for 13 years, specializing in Gospel, Pop, Rock, Funk, R'n'B & Hip-Hop.  Music is a lot of things but to me, recording music feels like painting. It is the knowledge of knowing where to put the right colors to convey the right emotions!

How does it work ?

I can provide, quick and efficient drum tracks for your recording.

Once I receive your audio file and any additional informations about the way you would like your track to sound like, i will immediately start recording. After that i'll send out an mp3 version of the track(s). I will make up to two revisions on the track if needed. The complete session file will be sent in HQ right after you're pleased with the final results.

Tell me about your project and how I can help, through the 'Contact' button above.

Conscientious work, filled with passion and professionalism, are the words that come to me to sum up what I remember from this first work with Pacifique. I remain impressed by the degree of seriousness he gives to the meetings. Even though it almost intimidated me, it won both my respect and my deep admiration. I hope he'll maintains that throughout his career. Very Attentive, Pacifique has remained faithful to my requirements and has not hesitated to add touches of its own, which he was ready to remove at my request. Its prices are affordable.

Interview with Pacifique Dushimiyimana

  1. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  2. A: Aïe, tough choice. I love both! A combination of both is usually what i prefer. The sound quality of the analog and the rapid work flow of the digital.

  3. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  4. A: That i can do what i love! I started music because i fell in love with recording. I wanted to be able to leave a mark on this earth and what better way to do it than to record a song.

  5. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  6. A: Haha! I only need three, Kick, Snare, Hihat! Cliché but undefeated!

  7. Q: How would you describe your style?

  8. A: Ouuh Good Lord, Simple yet rich and groovy.

  9. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  10. A: Working with Marcus Miller would be heaven on earth in all honesty, Hahaha As a drummer playing with a great bass player like him, would be an immense honor.

  11. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  12. A: The more you spend time polishing your skills the less time consuming your working progress gets.!

  13. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  14. A: I love playing pocket. As a drummer, i have learned to enjoy being the foundation that the song can stand upon. I believe playing a simple groove can enhance a song tremendously. However when it is needed, i also can compliment certain elements of the song with an accent or a feel.

  15. Q: What's your typical work process?

  16. A: Usually, i first spend a good time talking with my clients about their projects. The more details i have about what their desires, the better my work is. I ask questions like; what are their vision for the final result ? what type of feeling or emotions are trying to convey ? etc.. I then choose the right tools and tune my drums in order to achieve that ideal sound. Once that is done, the recording process start! Once i am happy with results, i'll send it to my clients for them to be happy with me or not. If it's the later, i'll do 3 reviews for free so we can reach the ideal sound.
