I have been songwriting and recording music for nearly two decades now. I recently started to focus in on electronic/dance pop. I have experience in playing acoustic guitar, drums, and bass. I spent many years singing in a choir and ensembles. Rates are negotiable.

Interview with jonaii
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I have been recently releasing my own music which has been very fun and encouraging
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am recording and writing electronic pop music for myself
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I don't personally know any SoundBetter artists, but have purchased tracks using SoundBetter, and so far, the talent has been excellent.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: They both have their pluses and minuses. All I can really say is that Digital has the ability to continuously improve over time in a much more rapid and instant way than analog.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to do my absolute best to meet the client's vision through iterative improvements and continuous communication.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I enjoy being creative and conveying emotions through song.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How did you end up wanting to do this?
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: People think I am in the business of making my own music. Although I do enjoy creating music for myself, I really am looking for opportunities to help other artists/producers to create music in a melody lyrics capability, so my voice is not always on the final track.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: How can I help you achieve your goals for this track?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Just keep messaging. Someone out there will say Yes to your project!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: I am way to analytical for this question lol. For survival, I would take charcoal to filter water as it is essential for survival. I would then hope the island has some sort of infrastructure for internet, so I would take a device (like a hotspot) to be connected to the web. I would then need a solar panel generator for energy (not even sure if this exists). So now that I have my basic needs met, I would need my high end headphones and my mac book pro. There it is. 5 items on a desert island I would need.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I currently work in technology, but have always loved working on music. I have been singing and song writing for over 2 decades.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I think my style is very relaxed, chill, and filled with emotion..
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Any of the artists I listed as my inspiration would be amazing. In terms of male vocalists, I have recently been listening to VINCINT, and would love to work with him in any capacity.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Go with your gut
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Electronic Pop
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is conveying emotion in a song whether it be through singing or song writing.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring a solid female vocal with a unique take on music structure
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I work with the client on their vision for the track. I then come up with top melodies and harmonies, followed by lyrics. I create a continuous feedback loop with the client to ensure I am on the right path to their vision. After practicing all parts of a song that is written in completion, I go into the studio and record a rough draft. If additional edits need to be made, I do one more follow up finalized recording.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work with a local studio for professional recordings. My home studio consists of a yamaha audio interface and a rode mic with pop filter.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am inspired by many vocalists who support the LGBTQ+ community such as Hayley Kiyoko, Rebecca Black, Betty Who, Sara Bareilles, Carly Rae Jepson, etc. Not only for helping and standing in support for a marginalized group, but for providing a voice, representation, and perspective for those in the community.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I write lyrics and record/sing vocals
