Interview with Fernando Lodeiro
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: I'm here to make you happy. I always like to start by getting to know the artist, their influences, what are they listening to now a days and make sure that our artistic visions work well together
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been doing nothing but music since 2002. I went to school for it and have been lucky enough to make a living from it. Once I finished college I moved to NY and started cleaning bathrooms and making coffee at one of the best studios in the world (Avatar / Power Station) where I had the opportunity and honor of working with some of the best engineers, artists, and producers in the music industry. Went freelance in 2007 and relocated to LA in 2022.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I work on a lot of pop/rock, alt, indie, and jazz
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Ive got a hybrid studio setup. Every plugin you can imagine, a summing mixer, about 14 channels of outboard compressors, tape delay, barefoots mm26, and a lot of very creative toys
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I'm a mixer, producer, and recording engineer.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I'm very creative and won's stop working on something until I'm happy and excited about it
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: My main goal os to enhance what the artist and producer have done already and push it more to make it the best it can be
