A discerning ear, exceptional intuition and grit has fast-tracked Matthew Nowak into working with multi-award winning engineers and artists from all over the world. Music is a visceral means of communication, and Matthew strives to connect with people from around the world to make sure their music can be expressed even better than they picture it.
The connections that are made through music are unlike any other. There is a special feeling that music evokes that has a hard time being replicated. Getting to share these experiences with artists, engineers, and producers alike help construct an environment exclusive to the world of music. I believe no matter where a project begins, no matter the scope, it can always be better. I strive to bring out the most of every project while preserving what makes it so uniquely sincere. There is something to learn from every project and always a way to improve it. These things drive me to continue to innovate, perfect my craft, and create meaningful connections with everyone that makes music possible.
Every project deserves the same attention to detail and utmost care as the rest. Recording, mixing, and mastering is a collaborative process so please feel free to contact me so we can discuss how to bring the most out of your project whatever your goals may be.

Interview with Matthew Nowak
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Analog and digital both have their uses. Neither truly replaces the other and I am thankful I have the privilege of being able to work with both.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Getting the opportunity to listen to awesome music I may not discover otherwise.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Get in touch! Building a solid foundation of communication for you project leads to less confusion or miscommunication down the road. Making sure we are both on the same page will lead to better results and ensure that we are both thrilled with the music!
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: An equal blend of technical and creative. I pride myself on my intuitive and acute hearing so that I can pinpoint exactly what needs to be tweaked, with the technical skill to quickly follow through.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Outside of my ear or technical ability my greatest skill lies in my communication. It is the foundation of a project and if the communication isn't there the project can fall apart. I go out of my way to make sure that we are on the same page every step of the project so that you can remain comfortable and confident that your music is going to sound the best it can.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring a holistic approach. I have the ability to see how every piece of the puzzle is affecting the song. I can quickly make micro-decisions that quickly add up and greatly change the overall shape of the project.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I specialize in mixing and mastering. However I am an adept producer and recording engineer as well.
