Hey! My name is Rambo and I am a Music Producer, Mixing engineer and Vocal Producer of 17+ years along with an Audio Engineer Education. I am based out of Charlotte, NC. My goal is to not only serve the artist and the song, but to ensure your song/project is sonically competitive in the market. I feel as though it's the engineer's job to not only provide a service but to collaborate with the artist (Team Work). Contact me before ordering so we can discuss your next project. Let's Work!

Contact me through the green button above and let's get to work.

Interview with RAMBO

  1. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  2. A: That I just do R&B.

  3. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  4. A: 22 years

  5. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  6. A: Chris Brown, Mario. Robin Thicke, Brandy. Vocally, they inspire me in such a special way. I know I will forever be changed, after working with them.

  7. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  8. A: Finding the most innovative Vocal arrangements.

  9. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  10. A: Over 17 years of experience. I've had many vocal students. Which means I know how to pull a lot out of an artist.I have over 22 years of piano playing experience under my belt. Which sets me apart from your Typical " Beat Maker" now days.

  11. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  12. A: All of them. I open myself up to it all! But I had to narrow it down into my top most inspiring, it would be Michael Jackson. He has always reinvented himself. All these years and still relevant, today is something to say!

  13. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  14. A: Currently working on a few records for a new Show on BET called "The Quad".

  15. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  16. A: My advice would be. Organizing your sessions makes the process so much easier. Such as, Naming your session tracks, make sure your tracks aren't clipping, provide song references to help me totally understand your vision.

  17. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  18. A: Laptop, External Hard drive, Mini controller, Apollo Interface, U87.

  19. Q: How would you describe your style?

  20. A: I camouflage with everything. I don't fit into one style.

  21. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  22. A: Always remain a student to the art. Arrogance puts a ceiling on your potential.

  23. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  24. A: R&B, POP, Rap, Hip Hop, Country, Folk, EDM

  25. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  26. A: I'm a long time Protools user but have opened myself up to Logic Pro, Presonus Studio One, Ableton Live. They all do something special. I have a ton of Solid State Hardware. From Neve 1073, Focusrite ISA, UA 610, Solid State Logic SSL 4056 E/G Mixing Console. And TONS of the industry plugins! Pretty I have everything you need!

  27. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  28. A: I tend to write quite a bit for my clients. Outside of that, I'm producing/ Mixing/ Mastering. Sometimes It's best to minimize extra hands on the project to protect the vibe! Because at the end of the day it's always about the feel/ the vibe! The feeling it gives the listeners!
