Interview with Yossi Cascun

Q: What's your typical work process?
A: It always depends on the brief but if the client hasn't requested anything specific, I listen to the track with my guitar in hand and jam along with it until I've come up with some creative ideas. Then I go about recording them, editing tones and the parts themselves so they fit in with the track perfectly.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I usually record through my pedalboard directly into my M-Track Eight Interface using digital amps in Logic Pro X. I am able to capture analog amp tones as well using microphones.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: There are so many amazing musicians but to keep it brief I'll say Mark Knopfler, Carlos Santana and Prince.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I record guitar layers that seamlessly fit into my clients' projects. I collaborate with clients to create the parts and tones they are searching for.
