Plain and simple nobody can capture the emotion you want like I can. As an empath I feel what you feel as much sometimes even more than you do. And as a Lyricist I can put into words the exact feelings you're trying to convey in the song. Nobody can do it like me.
I've been a talented song writer since I was 4 years old. I am also very sensitive to others emotions and do not like crowds at all can't get used to that one. Basically if you want me to write for you I need to know how you want this to feel how you want the listener to feel when they're done and how you feel personally about what you want written. I like to work side by side but Skype works just as well. All I really need is a beat and a topic and will come back with a well written song in a day maybe an hour spending on my schedule I have a job outside of this but I work around it. Just be yourself im the most laid back guy in any room and people naturally open up to me I'm sure we will be friends. Interview with Empath608
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I wrote a song for someone and it was a very personal song for them the content was very emotional and as an Empath I could feel their emotion as I recited the words until we both started crying at the same time.i can't help that I pick up others emotions and she couldn't help but cry because I captured exactly how she feels and it just gave me the chills thinking about it lol. It was a good moment and she has the song coming out on her next album but she usually writes her own music.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: A Metal core song I actually already have it mostly done just got to master it.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: No
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Analog more bandwidth it's just takes the cake captures all frequencies.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will always come through. Never will I have a client say they don't like the song or the lyrics I can make.it exactly how you want it to be.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The music
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How good are you? Give me an instrumental and hear me freestyle off the top once and you'll see. Or give me 20 mins and a beat and I'll have a hook and two verses and a mediocre song. Sometimes a very good song is written quickly too but usually I take.my time.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: People think I write the entire song which isn't usually the case usually who I'm writing for/with has alot of input and if not I try to coax them into giving ideas to personalize it better. Also people think I am rich because I write music which definitely isn't true I work as a mechanic at a unionized cardboard factory I make alot there wish I made more writing so I could quit
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Do you want this song to be very deep? What emotion do you want the general vibe to be? Hook?? How many verses? Do you have an instrumental picked if not I can still write it but it's harder to match one up with already written lyrics. Who are you what kind of person are you and why do you need me to write for you? Do you want this to be like Jcole lyricism or more like xxxtentacion? Or just all catchy flow no articulation or emphasis on lyricism. What do you want this song to get across how do you want the person to feel after they listen and what is the message.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Again, Be yourself! I'm the most laid-back individual you'll ever come in contact with and naturally I just put people's insecurities at ease which allows them to open up. Don't be nervous don't worry what people think do you and you will succeed.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Metal pot, Bow, tinderbox/flint, machete, rope. Haha sorry got to be serious about being on a desert island screw the pencil and pad I need to survive!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Well right now I actually just write on the side for people on social media or for fun for my friends I make my own music as well and master and mix my music myself I'm working on an album right now but I've been doing this since I can remember I was writing songs at the age of 4 and freestyle singing rock and heavy metal by the age of 5.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My writing style definitely varies given the mood and instrumental but naturally I'm all about that flow I just catch a vibe and go. Altogether id say for a whiteboy I'm pretty gangster so kind of a mgk style mixed with a Joey badass mentality and consciousness. I am an Empath so emotion is very different to me and also very much so a driving force in everything I do. Hence my name Empath608 (608 is the area code of Madison Wisconsin).
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I'd love to work with any of the guys from Flatbush. The Underacheivers (Akthesavior, Issa Gold), Flatbush zombies, nyck caution idc any of them they're all cool and I like their style.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Leave HEADROOM! And also just be yourself music doesn't have boundaries nobody can say hey that's not music because music isn't about what people think it's you expressing yourself and your emotions through an instrument or your voice whichever it may be. Be you that's how you will succeed.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Rap.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Articulation.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Style and uniqueness that is found nowhere else. The flows and the words is just a whole different feel than what I've ever heard and what everyone tells me is I'm like ghostface lmao idk why I def don't sound like him but he's a decent Lyricist
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Really depends on my mood honestly. Sometimes an instrumental will inspire lyrics but usually just a hook or flow I tend to write without an instrumental alot it just works good for me. I am extremely articulate I have an very broad vocabulary and have always been a gifted writer.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a nice computer and a decent microphone. Sometimes I rent a really nice studio down the road from me but when I write music I don't need anything but my phone and the instrumental a pad of paper and a pen.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Joey Badass, Jcole, Eminem, Asking Alexandria, Sam Smith, EL-P & Killer Mike (RTJ), Bruno Mars
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I write any type of music whether it's soul, heavy metal, trap style rap, indie/alt rock or rap anything given the mood and an Instrumental.
