I have worked before with some producers but I always felt that something was missing in my songs and I think it is the first time that a producer takes one of my songs to another level, I have no doubt Musa you are the prod that I want in my other songs thanks for capture your magic in my songs, thank you

This was my first time using this service and honestly I was a bit skeptical about hiring someone to work on my music, thankfully Musa was very professional, patient and straight forward. His work and creativity ultimately blew me away and I couldn’t be happier with the end results.I look forward to work with you again

Interview with MuZs
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: SSL G BUS COMPRESOOR – For gluing the whole mix together. I don’t really have to say much about this piece since it has been used on many records out there that we love. CHANDLER LIMITED LITTLE DEVIL EQ – For adding and removing frequency of the entire mix. This EQ gives the entire record a very sweet vibe that once I learned what it really does to a sound, I started adding to my mixes more and more often. FOCAL TWIN6 BE– As studio monitors which I think is the perfect combination of the true sound that the music consumer will hear when your audio material translates to the real world. UA APOLLO X SERIES INTERFACES, RME FIREFACE 802– These are my audio interfaces and converters, which I really can’t live without, because of the transparency, work flow, punchiness and pure class A conversion that I get. These interfaces make my job easier. AMS NEVE 1073 DPX – For vocals and instruments, which is my main go to preamp. I also run my mixes through this guy because it gives me a very colorful representation of my music, and also an amazing harmony distortion.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I like the fact that I can help people reach their goals. By contributing, only if just a bit, I can make sure that every artist is getting close to their dreams. That makes me love what I do. I understand that money is an essential tool, but is not what always drives me. What drives me is the love of music and the great people that I have the pleasure to work with.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: A lot of years of experience, well trained ears, professional skills, creativity, an artistic side, constructive advice, helpful tips if the artist needs or asks for them, music art perspective, a singer/rapper-coach-song writer-producer background, a good taste and a perfect idea of what old/modern/today’s music should sound like, a very positive mind and a strong mentality.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My typical process consists of: 1st- Listening to the artist’s song/demo and getting a good idea of what the artist is trying to achieve and present to the public. This process is the most important, in my opinion. 2nd- By using the techniques that I've mastered throughout the years, I will be applying my mixing skills to make the necessary changes to your music while keeping intact the main idea and roots of the original song. 3rd- This step is the mastering phase. It is where we polish the mixed song by adding final touches to make sure it sounds consistent on all listening platforms and that it is radio/streaming ready. 4th- I will be delivering the final product to the artist and staying in touch for any feedback or revisions the artist may have. I always want to make sure that the artist is 102% happy with the end results.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio setup is a low-profile home studio with a futuristic modern look. It also has an artistic-inspired vibe to it. I always wanted to be in a place where I feel comfortable doing what I love to do. I have acoustic panels and ceiling tiles for acoustic treatment, which helps with sound reflections and absorbing the sound. I also use bass traps to contain lower frequency issues in the room. My studio desk is also very flexible and assessable for my outboard gear. I do have a pair of Focal Twin6-be monitors which definitely help me hear things better and clearer to make better mixing decisions.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I have always been inspired by all kinds of music, especially music written with passion/purpose/story telling and real-life experience. I do like the unique feel and engaging melodies that artists like SZA, JT, Mac Ayres, Nass, J Balvin, and Ne-Yo bring.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: We offer various audio engineering services from Mixing, Mastering, Audio Production, Mentoring, Professional Music Critique and Recording Studio services.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I’ll say both. I’m at the point my career where I can achieve a great sounding mix in the box/digital with ease. The digital world is so much better than what it used to be. I think that things have changed for the better and I’m very happy about it; however, there are some pieces of analog gear that are very difficult to replicate on the digital world such as, color, weight and a very organic harmonic distortion. I like to incorporate both analog and digital into my work flow. Throughout the years, I found that I get better results when I use digital for editing and making drastic changes to a mix, and analog when it comes to adding that final touch to a song.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: That getting a great sounding song is important; however, hiring a musically educated and experienced audio engineer that you can trust with your is even more important.
