Do a good job on my mixing and mastering remix , i recommand it !
The best one for mixing my urban mixtape. I paid for his service at Blue Diamond Musiq and he is very responsable with the deadlines, delivering a premium service for the price. He transform my track "Trouble" into something spectacular!
He is a smart producer and also a great audio engineer. I have mixed and mastering a heavy metal LP in the past, and he surprises me. At the beginning, I doubt a little bit because he is specialized in edm related genres, but I see that he is capable to do a great job in any kind of music, since he gets involved fast in the sessions, understanding the feeling and what I want to express on each track. Also, he is a very funny guy.
He takes my song and turns it into a masterpiece before the deadline..
It's a very creative guy, and know perfectly how to make my vocals sounds like a kpop artist, with all his magic.
R_TOUR is a pleasure to work with all the time! He always use all his creativity and involves all his knowledge in Future Bass, to get wide vocals and awesome fx in my songs. Also, very efficient with his time.
There's no one I trust more to produce, mix and master my songs. I meet him when he worked at Track Star, but now he is freelance here, I'm more than happy to keep working with him.
Interview with Arturo Montes de Oca
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm working on my own EDM productions in my YouTube Music channel "R_TOUR", an also, as a remote audio engineer in Blue Diamond Musiq for mixing and mastering services.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital for most mixing task, because it's easier to recall every parameter each time you open the session. But for mastering, I would rather analog, to give that warm spice that the track needs.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Bring you a quality service with all the revisions you need until you feel your track is perfect!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The most thing I love in my job, is that I actually can combine my musical knowledge since kid with maths and algorithms, since I was always inclined to study to be an engineer.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: How many tracks contain this song? How long is this song? Tempo of the song? Key of the song? Do you want anything special on this song?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Send me the tracks with no digital clipping for mixing service. For mastering, send me the track around -18LUFS or -6dB
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: MacBook Pro, Apogee Groove, Sennheiser HD650 S, Virus TI 2 and UAD Satellite.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Fresh and melodic.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Flume, because he is a very creative producer who always make unique sounds and not only use samples or presets. He is very original.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Try to use plugins for functions that are not intended to use. Sometimes you can discover amazing things that makes you unique.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: EDM, Hip-Hop, RnB and Pop.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Mixing EDM and process vocals.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: After doing a proper gain stage on all tracks, I start balancing drums, then bass, vocals, instrumental and finally fx/ear candies. Then I work in mono to EQ all tracks in context and control all the dynamics of the track. Finally, I start panning everything, send aux and bus channels and do the final adjustments.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
