I'm a classically trained pianist, award-winning composer, and professional audio engineer with a 7-foot acoustic piano and high-end microphones. Equally confident playing by ear, I bring a diverse skillset to make your music come to life.
I have been playing piano for seventeen years, playing both classical recitals and Nashville stages. I hold a BM in Music Composition and a BS in Audio Engineering Technology from Belmont University, where I also studied piano under Nashville Symphony Principal Pianist Dr. Robert Marler. As an undergraduate, my orchestral composition "Out of Ashes" won the Nashville Philharmonic Orchestra's Composition Competition and received its premiere.
I do all of my recordings in my studio on a Yamaha C7 piano––the same model used on hundreds of hit records. I pair this with AKG C414 microphones and industry-standard digital converters.
What sets me apart from other pianists is that I also have the ears of a composer and an audio engineer. This allows me to approach your song holistically, keeping in mind what will work best musically within your arrangement and sonically within your mix.
